I recieved my YPG-625 from MF a little over a week ago and haven't stopped
playing it since. The feel of the keys and the touch sensitivity are about as
close to the real thing as you will find in any price range. The piano voices
are dead on, the strings sound lush and full, not "keyboard-ish" at all, and the
drum sounds are very realistic as well. For the most part, all the voices on
this thing are very musical and useable. The six-track recorder is pretty simple
to use and the accompaniment patterns are fantastic. If there was one complaint
I have, the inclusion of a step-recording feature would be my recommendation, to
make recording drum tracks easier. Otherwise it's a truly flawless instrument of
professional musician quality...This is not a toy! Good Job, Yamaha

I bought this a couple weeks ago from a local retailer and cannot express what a
great deal this is. The quality of sounds (especially the piano and strings) are
purely genius. Yamaha has really outdone themselves with the YPG series. The
"Live! Warm Piano" voice sounds identical to my Baldwin grand piano, which is
something I never thought I'd say, especially in regards to a keyboard. For my
home recording needs, this goes above and beyond anything I've used in the past.
My other main instrument is an 88 key Triton studio, which serves its purpose as
well as this Yamaha serves its purpose, which is rich strings, warm & lifelike
piano, and an excellent harpsicord. The hammer graded keys make my fingers
smile. Honestly, when I first got this model, I tried my hardest to find
anything that would seem like a negative aspect to this keyboard, and I couldn't
find any. Bottom line: Yamaha could easily sell this thing for twice as much and
it'd still be a good buy. Snowfountain |

I just recieved this new keyboard and let me tell you, its amazing!
First of all, this keyboard looks more like a $3000 unit than a
sub-$1000 model. The maple wood is beautiful. The keys have that
Yamaha action that feels so close to an acoustic piano. The grand
piano sounds incredible and even compares with their higher end
models. I haven't quite played with the sequencing ability quite
yet, but there are so many features packed into this keyboard. If
you are looking for an incredible keyboard and don't want to spend
more than $1000 dollars, this is the keyboard for you.
